MAC Lipstick in Angel
Hi guys! I'm back to regular "programming" with another lipstick review. This one has been on my wishlist for the longest time. Of course, I was stopping myself from buying because this isn't exactly cheap and I still have some unopened ones in my stash. As evidenced I have zero willpower when it comes to buying lipsticks. Emotion triumphed over reason and I ended up with a beautiful tube of lipstick on my hands. *_*
MAC Angel Lipstick
Angel is described in MAC's website is described as "soft pink." On the tube, the color can be described as a medium blush pink with somewhat cool undertones. Swatched on my NC 25 skin, the color came off a lighter pink.
Swatches: MAC Lipstick in Angel
MAC Angel is a frost finish so the color applied sheer and lighter on my skin than in the tube. Don't be misled by it being a "frost" as this is not overly glittery. The shimmer is very understated and don't look tacky. It's very sweet and pretty in my opinion.
MAC Lipstick in Angel (L) No Flash (R) With Flash
This applies smoothly without tugging. It required 2 to 3 swipes for the color to be opaque on my lips. Adding more layer would find you with a bit of shimmer build-up, so I don't recommend a lot of layers for this.
MAC Angel Lipstick
On my lips, MAC Angel looks a very natural pinky nude. This lends just enough color for it to brighten up my face
and cover up those imperfections without being too bright and loud.

I'm pale enough (NC 20/25) right now to pull off this color. I'm not sure if this would suite girls with deeper tones because this can be a bit cool.

I'm used to my mattes, so Angel's sheer pigmentation took a bit time for me to adjust to. I feel that I don't get the best bang for my money with this lipstick because I have to apply several layers for the color to show up. I save this one for "special" occasions and just use the cheaper but still great Wet 'n Wild lippies for everyday errands.
FOTD: MAC Angel Lipstick
Overall: MAC Angel Lipstick would be a great understated lipstick for those going for a pinky-nude look. The frost formulation has enough shine and dimension without it being too gaudy-looking. It is smooth and creamy but applied a bit dry due to its sheer and shimmery texture. It lasted 2-3 hours on my lips through a light meal and a snack. This is a pretty and sweet color and fantastic to pair with strong eye looks.
This looks like such a pretty color! I so need to get this :) thanks for posting!
