National Dog Show 2014 | When And Where To Watch, Live Stream Telecast. A new champion will be named at this year's the National Dog Show. For the past 13 years, this event has crowned the best of American purebred dogs. The selection night airs tonight, Thanksgiving Day on NBC.

Boasting an annual audience of more than 20 million television viewers, the 2014 National Dog Show presented by Purina will be hosted by John O'Hurley, the actor best known for portraying "J. Peterman" on the popular '90s sitcom Seinfeld.

This year's show spotlights two American Kennel Club-recognized breeds, the Coton de Tulear and the Wirehaired Vizsla. This is the first time that either breed has competed on the National Dog Show.

This year’s National Dog Show actually took place from Saturday, Nov. 15, through Sunday, Nov. 16, but it will not be broadcast to the public until Thanksgiving Day.
