Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Warm Me Up |
Hello guys. I'm having a low key weekend right now and I'm quite
content. I had a bit of (window) shopping done and movies watching (Taken 3!) last Friday and Saturday night. I should
give myself props because I didn't buy anything non-essential. I spent a
half-hour at Watson's just looking around and reading labels. I was
really tempted in buying more makeup but I didn't because I told
myself I don't need more (I really don't). In the end, I only picked up
a tube of hand cream and a pack of wet tissue.

Okay, I'm rambling. On to my nail polish review, which is a first for
me! Today, I have a Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish. I got this from
eBay for Php 70 pesos a couple of weeks ago. The Color Show lacquers at Watson's retail for
around Php 100 but they don't have the colors I wanted so I bought some
online.

Warm Me Up is part of the limited edition The Nudes collection
Maybelline released for Spring 2014. The color indeed is "nude" and I
say it's a medium beige pink. I picked up this one because this seems
closest to my skin tone. It's an unassuming color but I think it looks pretty.

The color applied opaque with two coats. It evened out pretty well
and was not streaky. Drying time was short. Three days in and the nail
polish was still looking good.
Overall: I'm really enjoying how
Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Warm Me Up looks on my nails - simple and chic. The formula is great as it applied streak-free and evenly after two coats. Color was very opaque despite it being a light shade. I think I got a good deal with these considering they are relatively cheap. To get a longer wear out of this, I will be using a base and top coat next time.
