Hello guys! Happy Monday to everyone. For today's "Mani Monday," I have Wet 'n Wild Megalast Nail Color in shade (203A) 2% Milk. I describe this color as a sheer, milky eggshell cream. When I say sheer, it really is - three coats would still give you a visible nail line.
When I first got it and tested it on my nails, I didn't like how sheer it was so it was banished and forgotten under a pile of other nail polish. I rediscovered 2% Milk last week when I was looking for a nude nail polish and decided to give it a second chance.
I'm glad I did because I like it now. I applied four coats to make it more opaque. Some nail line is still visible but that's why I like it. It just looks so dainty and demure on. I think this would be a great "nude" for lighter, yellow skin tones.
The formula is easy to work with, with a consistency that's just right - not to thick nor too thin. It also dried pretty fast, maybe even faster than normal.
I appreciate that brush that came with the polish is fuller than normal. Two swipes was all it took to cover my nails, only one for my pinky finger. If you have narrower nail beds, you might not like this wider brush.
Pros:
Sheer but pretty color
Good consistency
Even application
Full, wide brush
Long-wearing (up to 5 days w/ topcoat)
Cons:
Wider brush may not be ideal for narrower nails
Overall: Wet 'n Wild Megalast Nail Color in 2% Milk is a pretty nude color ideal for those looking for an understated look. The polish has good consistency and applied evenly. With less a couple of coats, it will appear streaky so more than three coats is recommended. Drying time is fast. With a topcoat (I used Seche Vite), I got five days chip-free polish.
