Mirenesse Glossy Kiss in Angel Kiss - "A 3 in 1 colour created with BB Mineral Technology Glossy Kiss takes Lip Colour to a new level, delivering a high dose of colour and shine in just one swipe; with the precision of a liner, the moisture of a balm, the shine of a gloss and the staying power of a stain all-in-one." from Luxola.com
Hello again guys! Did you notice that I have been pretty consistent
in updating my blog? I've set aside a tiny bit of time everyday for this
because this serves as my "de-stressor." Makeup and beauty may seem
trivial to write about, but that is exactly why I like it. Life is
already serious as it is and I need a momentary break from all the
complications. :)
For today, I have will review Mirenesse Glossy Kiss in Angel Kiss. If you can remember, this lipstick came as a GWP from Luxola (See post HERE).
Benefits
Ideal for a gorgeous glossy colour with just one swipe.
Ultra-moisturising gloss
Fills in lines for a never before possible look and a super sexy smile every time
Never needs sharpening - simply twist to reveal more
Angel Kiss can be described as a terracotta red color, not much unlike color of the year, Marsala. This earthy color is very wearable and can be used day or night time. I actually didn't notice that this product functions as a lip/cheek product. I haven't had the chance to use it as a blush, for now I'm reviewing this as a lip product.
Consistency and Texture: Lightweight and velvety. It applied smoothly and evenly. The finish is satiny with a slight shimmer, but not overly glittery. Texture is more of a lightweight lip balm, rather than a lipstick. I like how this feels so comfortable on my lips.
Coverage and Pigmentation: The color was opaque after a couple of swipes. As described, you can use this lipstick three-ways: a liner, a balm and a gloss. It covered up my fairly pigmented lips well, didn't emphasize lines and didn't cause any flakiness.
Performance: The color lasted on me for up to four hours (without meals) and faded into a stain that stayed until I took it off.
Pros:
- Soft, smooth texture
- Even application doesn't need any lip preparation
- Lightweight feel
- Great color pay off
- Glossy finish
- Moisturizing on lips
- Multi tasking product
Cons:
- Glossy finish may not be for everyone
- A bit pricey
Overall: Mirenesse Glossy Kiss in Angel Kiss offers a flattering and versatile nudey terracotta red perfect for everyday wear. The lipstick goes on smooth and effortless across the lips and felt light and moisturizing. This makes your mouth look luscious and full, and add just enough shine for that carefree, easy-going look. If not for the price (which competes with high-end brands), I would be buying more colors, for now though, I will settle for freebies. :)
