Hey guys, did you miss me?! I've been MIA for almost two weeks due to "a series of unfortunate events" - including me suffering from a major bout of flu + tonsillitis. The bad weather (and PMS) is also doing a number on my mood so I am extra cranky and sulky the past few days. This lippie was a part of my cosmetics haul sometime ago. I've forced myself to swatch and take pictures as soon as I had this in my hands because I was excited to use it immediately.

Mauve Outta Here can be described as a medium-deep purple, pink with cooler undertones and semi-matte finish. I can detect only a hint of sheen on the finish so I can mostly classify this one as "matte." No shimmers nor glitters can be detected.

This applied evenly on my lips with amazing pigmentation - only one swipe is required to achieve an opaque color. The texture is also commendable as its mostly smooth and creamy, with minimal tugging.

This did not emphasize any lines, imperfection or dry patches. It also wore very well, with the color still going strong after four hours. The lipstick didn't settle into any lines and wore off evenly over time, leaving a bit (faint stain) on my lips.

I was hesitant to actually buy this lipstick due to the strong cool undertones because I expected this to make my complexion dull and sallow. Surprisingly, the shade managed to brighten up my face and was actually really flattering on me.
