Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Stockholm Chic 055 - "Drenches lips in glossy wet color. Ultra-light creamy lipstain with
Vitamin E and Aloe. Eighty-eight percent of women felt lips were
instantly moisturized without stickines." via revlon.com
Hello guys. Did you all enjoy your 3-day weekends? Let's start the week right with a lipstick review - picking up where I left off with Revlon's Colorstay Moisture Stain line. Today I have the shade Stockholm Chic.
Stockholm Chic 055 is a deep copper reddish-brown with warm
undertones. This looks more brown than red in person. I picked this up
because I wanted a deep brown lipstick but the red in this shade kind of
looks off on me and emphasizes the yellow in my skin. I think this
color would be perfect for duskier complexions.
The pigmentation is opaque with one swipe. It can be layered up to a point (maybe up to 3 layers) but more would only result to a messy look. You can also apply this lightly if you only want a slight stain on your lips.
This darker shade delivers great pigmentation. A single layer will give
you opaque coverage. I don't think you can build up the color though, so
adding more would only result to goopiness - of which I don't
recommend. Also good to note is that I found this easier to apply -
even, smooth and no patches.
The formula is still consistent with the rest of the Moisture Stain
line. It feels very lightweight and non-sticky on the lips. This is no
tacky, sticky feel that you would expect from a typical liquid product.
Stockholm Chic delivered average longevity and I honestly expected more since this is a darker shade. This left a very faint red-brown stain. The color lasted for up to four hours, up to six
with the stain left on your lips.
Pros:
- Lightweight texture
- Comfortable, slightly moisturizing formula
- Great pigmentation
- Non-ubiquitous smell
- Leaves a decent slight stain
- Easier to apply (vs lighter shade)
- Lasts up to 6 hours
Cons:
- Shade does not suit my NC20 skin
- A bit pricey (Php 625)
