Hey guys. TGIF and day five of my lipstick extravaganza. I've been testing different brands of lipsticks this week (Wet n Wild, Revlon, and Maybelline) and to cap off the end of the work week, one from L'Oreal.

I have L'Oreal Color Riche Tint Caresse Powder Lipstick in shade Lily Blossom B07. This powder lipstick is a newfrom the brand, released late last year. L'Oreal claims that this is the "first powder lipstick" but I beg to differ because the Koreans have been doing powder lipsticks for a few years now.

The packaging is fairly new, as it is an elongated profile vs. shorter "regular" lipsticks. It has a sponge applicator which I think works well. The product (powder) itself is housed inside the cap. It's not actually in powder form since they don't fall out even if you tilt the cap upside down. My major gripe with this packaging is when you have several shades open and you mix up which cap belongs to where as they don't have any labels. I do like how the packaging looks. It's very travel-friendly and you avoid the mess because the powder doesn't spill.

There are eight shades available for this line. I got Lily Blossom B07, a peachy nude with warm undertones and matte finish. The shade is one of the lighter colors and is a great nude color. It's not too beige and with a good amount of peach to brighten the face.

Application is easy and straightforward. The powder has a mousse-like consistency to it and unlike the Rire lip powder, it did not turn watery upon application. You really have to prep your lips with a balm and remove dead skin so you have a smooth canvas to put the powder on. You are applying pigments on skin so any peeling will show. As long as you have moisturized lips, you can apply the lipstick smoothly.

You get opaque color with just one layer. The sponge tip applicator does it's job of applying the color where you want it to be. I like how pigmented the color is given that this is a lighter shade. I like that this feels so lightweight (almost nothing) on the lips. You get none of that sticky feeling that normal lipsticks have and fees comfortable on.

It felt slightly drying and I find myself reaching for a lip balm after a couple of hours. On a positive note, the color is still there after I applied the balm. This also lasted well into a meal, around 4 hours in. It faded uniformly but didn't leave any stain, maybe because of the light color.
