Hey there guys. Happy Monday and here's to a more productive week, despite me being sleep-deprived. I am barely getting a few hours of sleep and that without even drinking any caffeine. I don't want to slack off with work though so even if I'm more inclined to stay in bed, I make it a point to do something and somehow keep busy even if it's as mundane as doing beauty reviews. *_* Hopefully, I can get my schedule sorted out and I can get a more regular shut-eye schedule.

I've been busting out all my Colourpop products after several months of being neglected. I've actually been using these babies on a regular basis so I have ample time to really test them out and decide if I like them or not.

Poison can be described as a deep brick red with warm undertones and a matte finish. I'm always drawn to these vampy red shades that give a great contrast against my yellowish skin tone. I think the brownish red color can be flattering with any complexion and is very fashionable right now. This does not have an entirely matte finish as I can see some sheen but I like it as it helps your lips look plump and healthy (and not thin).

This lipstick is very pigmented with a rich and velvety feel. Since this is a darker color, you really do get intense pigmentation with just a single layer. I applied evenly with full, opaque coverage. It tugged a bit when applied directly from the tube, due to drier and stiffer texture (vs the rest of my Colourpop matte lippie stix).

On lips: Colourpop Lippie Stix in Poison

Wear lasted over five hours. It felt light and comfortable on the lips, though it was slightly drying over the last few hours of wear time. This didn't settle along the lip lines and didn't bleed out (despite not using a lip liner).
