MAC x Brooke Candy Lipsticks in Whirl (Matte) & Mind Control (Amplified)

Hey there guys. It's been a while since I've featured a MAC lipstick. The brand recently a (very rare) F&F sale with 15% discount on everything (except the Viva Glam line) so I got a couple of lipsticks: MAC Whirl, which has been on my To-Buy list for some time now and Mind Control, a red lipstick from the Brooke Candy Collection (discount on discount!)

MAC Lipstick in Whirl (Matte)

Whirl is described as a "dirty rose." The color is a medium, muted rosey nude brown with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. This is a part of the permanent shade but has also been repromoted as part of the second Brooke Candy Collection.

The shade is another addition to my nude lipstick collection. It's similar to my current nudes, Velvet Teddy and Taupe (hopefully I can review soon) but darker and with more brown in it. I've also read that this has more of an emollient formula, feeling more satiny than matte. I will have to test that out soon but I am still enjoying looking at this lipstick unblemished and unused. *_*

MAC x Brooke Candy Lipsticks in Mind Control (Amplified)

Mind Control is described as a "bright cherry red." The color is a medium, bright red with slightly blue undertones and a creamy satin finish. I'm hoping it will swatch darker on my lips as I want it to be an alternate to Ruby Woo, on days when I need a bright red lipstick that won't dry out my lips.

I also expected this to come in the limited Brooke Candy packaging, but sadly it didn't. Aside from the Brooke Candy box, the tube is the usual black.
