New beginnings!?It's been a low key weekend and despite the rain, I got to enjoy some much needed R and R to catch up on sleep and switch off (no cell and internet signal). I have been giving you a barrage of lipstick reviews lately and if it were up to me, I would go on like this forever. But life would be sad and boring with no variety and change so to keep things more interesting, I'm doing a foundation review for today.

Today's product review is from one of my first makeup loves, Etude House. I am actually thinking of doing an Etude House feature for this week but we'll see how that goes, as I am not too sure if I will have enough free time to do photos this week.

It has been awhile since I've actually used a foundation since most of the time, I'm just using a sunscreen or some kind of BB/CC cream. This product though is quite underrated. I only bought this because it was on sale (50% off when they had their The Great Princess Sale last month) but it has been a welcome surprise how well this performed.

There were five shades available for this foundation line (Pure, Ivory, Rosy, Beige, and Sand). I have Ivory which is the lightest shade that have some yellow undertones. I also considered getting the Beige and Pure but in the end decided to stick with this color.

Ivory swatched lighter on my NC20/25 skintone but I don't mind because it brightened up my complexion. Also, the foundation oxidized a little bit so I didn't look too washed out on me.

Coverage is medium to full which is a welcome change from my usual BB creams which have more dewy, light coverage. It covered up most of my imperfections and smoothed out my skin tone. It was also able to cover up blemishes and toned down my dark circles.

While the coverage was good, it didn't feel heavy on the skin. It felt as light as the BB creams I've used and also felt very comfortable on. The texture is smooth and even but you have to work quite fast when applying as it dries up pretty fast. It's not a bad thing though because it just means that the product will adhere more to the skin. This dries to an almost matte, powdery finish which makes it resistant to my oily skin. It's also very long-lasting with up to five hours before some oil peaked through and some patches showed up.
