Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in 225 Rosewine and 720 Fire and Ice

Hi everyone. Hello September. The weather has been challenging in terms of getting good makeup photos but I had a small window of opportunity a few days ago to take photos under somewhat good sunlight so here I am. *_* I have purchased a few lipsticks over the past weeks but somehow haven't been able to wear them out yet. Hopefully, I can do that in the next week. In the meantime, I'll be featuring some sneak peeks starting with these Revlon lipsticks. I bought these on a buy one take one promo last week with the intention of giving them to my mom after testing, so these are somewhat subdued and classic colors (vs. my usual "loud" pinks and deep reds).

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in 225 Rosewine

225 Rosewine is a medium warm dusty red with brown and rosey undertones. I also see a hint of mauve and maybe peach but whether it would show up would depend on your coloration. I haven't worn this lipstick on my lips yet, but I can see a lot of similarities with some of the rosey nudes in my stash. This color is a good everyday red for the colder weather.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks in 720 Fire and Ice

720 Fire and Ice is a lipstick that has been around for decades (since 1952) but I never had the urge to buy it until now due to my my prejudice against orange-reds. I'm slowly venturing into that territory and I'm giving this classic orange-red a chance. Fire and Ice is a classic shade of orangey red which is both warm (Fire) and cool (Ice), hence the name.
