Swatch: Etude House Play 101 Blending Pencil in No. 25 |
#25
BE105 can be descibed as a rosey mauve shade with cool undertones and a powdery matte finish. This is a wearble and my-lips-but-better shade and is flattering to most skin tones. This shade looks darker in the packaging compared when swatched and on the lips. I thought it would look vampy on me but I was happily surprised that it looked pretty and quite natural on me.
The pencils are supposed to be multi-functional but I haven't tried it on anywhere else except on my lips because I found the pencil to be drying. I needed to prep my lips with balm and exfoliate for this lipstick to apply evenly and smoothly. There was definitely tugging when applying this lipstick.

On lips: Etude House Play 101 Blending Pencil in No. 25 |
Despite issue with application, I definitely liked the lipstick's soft powdery finish. Pigmentation is full and opaque though the color can settle on lines if you have dry lips. It felt comfortable on the lips and lightweight formula and velvety texture was non-sticky. There is a tendency for the color to settle on lip lines and emphasize dry patches if you don't prep.

This wore well for up
to four hours and needing no reapplication as long as you don't eat. The
lipstick is neither moisturizing nor drying but I did apply lip balm before putting this on. I have a renewed interest with this lipstick as I find the pencil-type packaging and multi-functionality convenient and travel-friendly.
