Hello there and TGIF.  I have not been sleeping too well these past couple of weeks so my work and blogging schedule has been affected. Fortunately, I'm able to function on few hours of sleep and so I can still share reviews of my recent (and not so recent) purchases. Today, I have a daily staple sunscreen/BB cream product from Nivea: Nivea Sun UV Face BB Cream

- Light, moisturizing, and eye friendly formula gives Light and Silky Smooth skin feeling
- Spreads easily and delivers a fast and even coverage.
- Non-Sticky
- Matte finish
- Enriched with Licochalcone and Vitamin E

NIVEA Sun UV Face BB Cream SPF 50

The packaging is a simple no-nonsense plastic, squeeze tube with a flip-top lid. It's very light and travel-friendly. The top also closes with a satisfying click and I haven't experienced any leakage on times that I have this on my bag.

I expected this product to function both as a sunscreen and a tinted moisturizer. Although it's labeled as a BB cream, the coverage is very, very light that it doesn't really give ample skin coverage compared to normal BB creams. This leans more on the tinted moisturizer side, though I would also not say that this can replace your daily moisturizer.

I normally apply this product after I have done my basic skincare - toner, lotion/serum, and moisturizer. This has a good consistency and spreads easily on the skin. On the other hand, I have noticed that when used alone (without moisturizer), it doesn't spread as easily and evenly so I suggest that you still go through your normal skincare before applying this cream.

Nivea Sun UV Face BB Cream

The formula feels light and non-sticky, as claimed. I feel that my skin can breathe through this, even on hot and humid days.  The very high SPF 50+ provide enough protection against the harmful UV rays. I like that this gives a BB cream effect and a subtle tint so my skin tone evens out and some of my redness are covered. This gives a satin-matte finish that looks natural. My makeup applies the same on top of this and doesn't slide off nor becomes oily.

The only concern that I could think of with this cream is the light-beige, slightly white finish which may not be compatible with darker complexions. For my light skin tone it's perfect, but those who are morena may find this too light and ashy.
