Hi there. I hope your are all having a good week. I am slowly getting my schedule back to normal so I might have some time to do photos this week. Also, I'm looking forward to having a short beach vacation this weekend.

For today, I'm reviewing a liquid eye shadow from local brand blk cosmetics. This is the first makeup from them that I get to review. I didn't have much inclination to buy any of brand's makeup in the past because I just didn't find them interesting enough. Their latest Universal Collection though is intriguing me so I might me getting one of two products as soon as I can get a few more reviews out of my way.

Using the soft-tip wand, apply the product on the upper eyelid and blend with your finger. You can also apply under the eye, applying as close to the lash line as possible.

This liquid eye shadow comes in a cute plastic bottle, reminiscent of a nail polish. It's easy and convenient to carry. I find the angled tip spongey applicator quite big for precise application but maybe that's because I have very small lids. For bigger eyes, this might not be a problem. Also, I tend to apply more product than necessary. Trying to control and know how much product I apply took a few tries and some practice.

Slammin can be described as a medium tawny peach-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It looks neutral on the bottle but when I applied it on my eyelids, it seems to become more orange, which I find to be somewhat unflattering against by yellow undertones.

One way to combat the orangey look was to apply just a tiny amount and spread and blend the product well. This way, I get a wash of color on my eyes just enough for emphasis.

Pigmentation is phenomenal. My first try using the eyeshadow was a fail as I applied too much and the color ended up all over my eyes up to my eyebrows. I really only needed a couple of tiny dots on my eyelids to get a good layer of color for the whole lid.

The formula feels very lightweight and applied smooth and evenly on my lids. It dried up pretty fast especially with me using only a thin layer so you need to work fast in blending this out. Because if the drier texture, there was some tugging as I was blending out the color. It is much better to pat on the color to minimize any tugging and pulling. I pretty much get a budge-proof eyeshadow after this dries on my eyelids.

The color stayed put the whole day, up to six hours without smudging nor transfer. I haven't tested if it's water-proof but judging from the effort it took to take off (I double cleansed using an oil-based makeup remover and a foaming cleanser), it can withstand a few tears.
