Hi there. Hope you are all having a good weekend. For today, I'll be sharing another product from the Saem's Urban Eco line - the Harakeke Emulsion. I bought this one together with the Harakeke toner from Althea Ph last year. I had forgotten that I had this until recently when I was "shopping" from my stash.

Features:
- Harakeke extract used instead of mineral water; 3 times stronger hydration power that Aloe vera and Olive oil. Contains healing agent D-glucuronic acid and D-xyloseGreat soothing for any skin type.
- Gentle hydration  and tested on senstivie skin.
- Formulated with organic Calendula Flower water and New Zealand's Manuka Honey. New Zealand Manuka Honey is the natural immune system, provides essential nutrients for nourishment and rapid tissue repair.  New Zealand Calendula Flower extract helps sooth and heal skin damage.
- Echinacea roots culture extract / Portulaca Olearacea Extract prevent the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Hydrates.
- Faster absorption; Prevents excess shine.

Like the Harakeke toner, this emulsion has the same main ingredients: Harakeke, Manuka Honey, and Calendula extracts which offers similar benefits. I guess the difference would be the formulation and function, with this emulsion aimed toward moisturizing.

The packaging of this product is almost the same as that of the Harakeke toner. This comes in an elegant green packaging with a pop off cap. There is also the bamboo detail on the cap adds uniqueness to the bottle and a pump dispenser which makes it hygienic to use.

The product itself has a milky and watery texture, like a lotion but much lighter. This has a lightweight formula which feels cooling and refreshing on the skin. It offers great hydration and moisturization for my skin despite the thinner formula. For those with oily-combination or even normal-dry skin and on humid days, this emulsion would be sufficient to provide adequate moisture to the skin. However, I think for those with very dry or flaky skin, they would need to follow up this product with a cream moisturizer.

I like using this emulsion after the Harakeke toner and during the day, right before my sunscreen. This emulsion really do feel refreshing and hydrating so on hot, humid days it gives me that cooling sensation. I also appreciate that this emusion is quickly absorbed by the skin so it doesn't feel sticky nor tacky.

On the downside, this Harakeke emulsion also has the same heavy fragrance like the Harakeke toner. Thankfully, the scent fades after a few seconds of application.

Compared to the Harakeke toner, the emulsion contains similar amount of main (active) ingredients. This also has more lightweight emollients which offer more hydration and moisturization. On the other hand, I can see some comedogenic ingredients such as stearyl alcohol, PEG-100 stearate, stearic acid, dimethicone, and parfum which may irritate sensitive skin or trigger acne.

Pros:
- Hydrating and lightweight moisturizer
- Non-sticky milky formula
- Absorbs well and refreshes skin
- Calms and soothes redness and irritation
- Improves skin texture
- Good for sensitive skin

Cons:
- Heavily fragranced
- Comedogenic ingredients
