Laneige Fresh Calming Toner

Hello there. Today's product review is a toner from Laneige. As I consider products from Laneige on the high end of the price spectrum, I have bought a mini size of this toner to try it out before maybe buying the full size. The smaller 50ml bottle is good for a couple of weeks when used twice daily.

This trial size comes in a small, peach plastic bottle with a twist off cap. It is handy and travel-friendly though you have to be careful not to spill and it does not have a stopper.

Laneige Fresh Calming Toner claims to be a skin-balancing product which helps with oiliness and redness. I have to say that after two weeks of use, I did notice slight improvements on these aspects. This toner immediately soothes and refreshes my skin. It also hydrated and nourished, which made my skin feeling soft and supple.

What I like about this toner is that it feels very lightweight and fresh on the skin. This gentle toner would not really have any mind-blowing effects but it will definitely give your skin a "break"and soothe any irritation. This has calmed some minor redness caused by the all the acids that I have been using lately. My skin tone also improved after each use.

This toner has a faint lychee/peach (fruity) smell which I could do without. The smell lingered for a few minutes so those who are very sensitive to fragrance might not like this. Personally, I got used to the smell after a few uses.

Overall, I would recommend Laneige Fresh Calming Toner for those with sensitive and irritated skin. With only ten ingredients, there would be less chance for your skin to have adverse reactions. This toner's gentle formula would not give mind-blowing improvements on the skin immediately. Considering the price point, I think you can look for alternative products which can give you similar if not better results - like Mamonde Rose Water Toner or Etude House Soon Jung PH 5.5 Relief Toner.
