Hello everyone. I hope you are all having a good week. The weather had been colder (and sometimes cloudy) than usual lately. Because of that and also due to me not going out, I may have been neglecting using sunscreen diligently. However, I'm here to remind all of you and also myself that it is important to wear sun protection even if it's not sunny or you are inside the house. On that regard, for today I'm sharing with you my experience with Holika Holika Makeup Sun Cream.
Benefits:
- Moisturizing
- Evens out skin tone
- High UV-protection
- For all skin types

This sun cream comes in a bigger size than your usual sunblock. Most sunscreens come in 30ml or 50ml but this one contains 60ml so I think the extra ml encourages you to use the adequate amount for appropriate sun protection. I like the plastic tube packaging which makes it easy to carry around. Additionally, the small nozzle dispenses the right amount of product and prevents any messes.

Based on the product's description, this sun cream functions both as a primer or base as well as sun protection. This cream has a pink undertone which helps with evening out complexion. I like that on makeup-free days, this sun cream helps make my skin look bright and smooth.
This sun cream's texture feels lightweight. It was easy to spread out evenly and smoothly. The formula is more of a thick cream which feels moisturizing. I didn't feel any stickiness nor greasiness.
Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide both provide the physical sun protection. (See cosdna profile here). It doesn't feel cloying and I feel that my skin can actually breathe underneath the sunscreen. I didn't experience any irritation using this nor did it cause any breakouts.
The one major caveat for this sun cream is the strong floral fragrance which lingers for hours on the skin like perfume. For someone who is very sensitive to smells, especially to artificial-smelling ones, the scent is simply odious, bordering on nauseating. The strong smell caused my nose to be sensitive and stuffed.

Overall, if not for the heavy fragrance, Holika Holika Make Up Sun Cream is actually a good product both as a tone up cream as well as a sunscreen. Those not sensitive to smells can consider this as an affordable daily sun protection.

- Lightweight texture
- Spreads evenly and smoothly
- Evens out complexion
- Lightly moisturizing
- High sun protection
- Affordable
Cons:
- Heavily fragranced
