Hi everyone and TGIF. Let's end the week with another face mist, this time from cult favorite Korean brand COSRX. One of their more popular product is their Low pH Good Morning Cleanser. For today, I have their Low pH PHA Barrier Mist to share thoughts on.

How to Use:
As the last step of your skincare routine, spray the mist 6-8 inches away from the face. Spritz 2 to 3 sprays evenly around the face. Gently pat on it. Use throughout the day to freshen up.

PHA, as an excellent humectant, attracts moisture and its larger molecular structures create the perfect water shield, keeping your skin at optimal moisture level throughout the day. So, it leaves your skin looking healthy, smooth, and perfectly supple plus the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.

It is essential to maintain skin’s natural pH level, which is slightly acidic, and COSRX Low pH PHA Barrier Mist acts as a ‘shield’ to protect and strengthen skin’s barrier.

This facial mist comes in a slim, blue plastic spray bottle. Overall, the packaging feels light and easy to bring on travels. This only contains 75ml of product which to some maybe a little amount and can be expensive considering this costs about $20. However, I have seen similar products with the same volume go for more money so I think the price is expected, though I would prefer it to be cheaper. 

Of all the facial mists that I have tried, this one dispenses the finest mist and distributes it evenly. I feel that I use less product because of that so despite me using this so much in the past couple of weeks, I still have a lot left on the bottle. On that note, the higher price tag seems to be justifiable with this facial mist.

COSRX Low pH PHA Barrier Mist has been a staple skincare product for me for several weeks now. I often reach out for this whenever my skin feels dry and in need of refreshing. When using this, my skin feels soft and smooth. It makes my skin look fresh and supple. I have oily-combination skin and I feel that this hydrating formula is perfect for me. I don't feel overly moisturized to the point that my skin feels slightly oily and kind of glowing from the moisture. In fact, I would say that this mist makes my skin look silky and mattified but not dry.

Before reading the directions, I first used this facial mist right after cleansing as sort of a moisturizing toner. I later realized that this is supposed to be used right after you are done with all of your skincare. Well, It does say right in its name, with it being a "Barrier Mist." This means that this facial mist will act as a shield to protect and strengthen your skin. So it is better to use this as the last step of your skincare routine to prevent your skincare from evaporating.

This product contains 98% coconut fruit extract which acts as the moiturizing ingredient. Take note that coconut fruit extract is very different from coconul oil. This mist contains the coconut extract water. It is watery and very lightweight and doesn't feel oily nor greasy on the skin. The tiny amount of gluconolactone, a PHA, is the one that acts as a skin barrier. It helps the skin maintain it healthy and natural environment of being slightly acidic pH level.

Overall, COSRX Low pH PHA Barrier Mist is one of my favorite skincare as of late. The slim and light bottle is easy to carry around. Not the mention the excellent spray mechanism which dispenses the finest and most even mist. The coconut extract water gives my oily skin the right amount of hydration it needs without it making my skin look "glassy." This mist also provides instant refreshment on humid days when my skin feels hot. I'm not sure about the claim of this being a "moisture barrier" or shield against outside polkutants nor preventing skincare from evaporating. Personally, my skin does feel soft, smooth and bouncy whenever I use this. One thing to note, I don't think that this mist would provide enough moisture for those with dry skins so I would recommend them the Banila Co. Dear Hydration Facial Mist instead.
