AHC Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face

Hello there everyone and TGIF. This week has been a chore to get through. I am now feeling antsy after two months of lockdown and we still have eight more days to endure. Anyways, I am focusing my pent-up energy on other things, including updating this blog more often.*_*

I consider today's product to be my HG face / all-around cream, the cult favorite, AHC Real Eye Cream For Face. I started using this cream last year when I was on a skincare buying binge and I am really glad I finally was able to get on the bandwagon. Apparently, this cream from AHC is well-known and well-loved in the skincare world for years now. I don't know why I didn't try this sooner.

Suggested Use:
Eye Treatment: After doing your morning and evening washing up, smoothen your skin texture with the toner. Once that is done, dispense an appropriate amount of The Real Eye Cream for Face and tap it lightly onto the rims of your eyes while gently spreading it around to help it absorb.
Facial Treatment: After washing up in the morning and evening, in the last skincare step take an appropriate amount of The Real Eye Cream for Face and apply it evenly to your entire and let it absorb into your skin.

AHC Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face

This eye cream for face is a lot to unpack which is probably the reason why I have put off reviewing it for months. It is marketed as an eye cream that you can use on your face. You can also think of it as a face cream that you can use on your eye area, which in my personal opinion, all face creams are. Reminder: you don't need to buy an overpriced eye cream, just use your normal face cream on your eye area.

AHC Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face was released last year (2020) as the eighth version of the brand's AHC (Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics) famous eye cream. This cream comes in several sizes (12ml, 30ml, and 60ml) and in a squeezable plastic tube with a twist-off closure. As far as I am aware, the tip varies for the 12ml travel size and the 30ml one. For the 12ml one, the tip is plain plastic with a round opening, while the bigger one has a flatter tip. The lightweight plastic tube makes it easy to carry and bring when traveling.

AHC Real Eye Cream For Face Season 8 is labeled as "Time Rewind" and is targeted more for anti-aging with whitening and wrinkle improvement benefits. I cannot compare the formula versus the earlier version but I can say that the Season 8 (2020) version has a rich and luxurious formula. The smooth and creamy texture feels good on the skin.

After application, I noticed and felt a smooth protective layer on my skin. This layer is what gives the glowy effect, much like a "glass skin." For my oily-combination skin, this gives enough moisture and nourishment, maybe even too much sometimes because it can feel a bit oily if I apply too much during humid days or summer. 

The resulting glowy sheen can be considered a consequence of all the skin-loving ingredients it has (see full ingredients below). AHC has included collagen, elastin, antioxidants, and 34 types of peptides in this cream. Personally, I have never seen such a long list of ingredients in any product before. I reckon there are at least a hundred components in there.

So, I think the rich and creamy formula is an advantage as it provides your skin all the benefits - hydration, nourishment, anti-wrinkle, whitening, it needs. If you feel that the cream is too heavy, you can just adjust how much you put on for those hot and humid days. 

For me, this cream feels lightweight and comfortable despite its rich and creamy formula. I only apply a pea-sized amount each to cover my face, neck, and chest. The light pink cream is easily spread and readily absorbed.

AHC Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face

This cream is a multipurpose product that you can use morning and night. It is lightweight enough to be used under sunscreen and doesn't disturb any makeup. I have noticed moisturizing and brightening effects after two weeks of daily use. My skin feels soft and supple and my complexion has improved after this time. I noticed a slight lifting / anti-aging effect after about a month of use. I can't say if the cream is effective in improving the look of wrinkles as I (thankfully) don't have deep wrinkles (yet). I do notice an improved look on my fine lines and pores after each use. Remember to apply more to your problem areas to get the maximum effect of this cream. Additionally, this cream has a floral/perfumey scent that is not too strong and I didn't mind.

Overall, AHC Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face is a multi-purpose, lightweight yet nourishing cream that can function both as an eye and face cream. The creamy and smooth texture is easily spread and readily absorbed by the skin. This cream's anti-aging and anti-oxidant ingredients improved skin texture, brightened complexion, and minimized the look of pores and fine lines. It imparted a glowy/dewy effect without looking greasy and feeling oily.
