Hello there everyone and TGIF. Can you believe that we are already on the second week of September? I have not been particularly motivated to do some reviews but I will try to amend that in the coming weeks as I get my daily routine in order.
Continuing on with my Fresh Skinlab reviews,
today's product is the Fresh Skinlab Aloe Vera Face Mist that I bought
months ago at Watson's. I actually bought two of these as they were on a
50% off promotion.
Benefits:
- Delivers cooling hydration
- Moisturizing and rejuvenating
- Skin is refreshed and radiant
- Quick to apply
- Easily permeates through the skin
- Paraben-free
- Benzophenone-free
- Mineral-free
How to Use:
Lightly
mist the face before using any other moisturizer or treatment. Reapply
as needed to replenish moisture or when resetting makeup.
*See a
dermatologist if you experience swelling, irritation, stimulation, and
appearance of spots while in use. Do not use it on blemishes and skin
conditions (scars, inflammation, eczema, or sunburn).

This face mist comes in a clear plastic spray bottle with a green label. This contains 150ml of product which is actually generous since I mostly see mists come in 100ml only. Added to that is the price which is only Php 199. Comparable products are priced higher with less amount of product so you definitely get your money's worth. You can transfer the product to a smaller spray bottle as this might be too big to bring in your bag.
The
spray mechanism for this face mist is a major letdown (another reason
to transfer to a different container). It streams big clumps of liquid
even if I spray far away from my face. This is ok if you use this as
part of your skincare or just want to freshen up. It is another story if
you have makeup on and you spray this. Two or three sprays will leave you with liquid (or makeup) dripping down your face.

As for the skin benefits, I would say that this aloe vera face mist does a good job of providing instant moisture and hydration without the greasy after-feel. It feels lightweight and is readily absorbed. Additionally, it refreshes the skin and also soothes redness and irritation. Whenever my skin is flushed or heated, I just apply this mist and I immediately feel its cooling effects. I see a slight dewy effect after spraying this on. I personally like it as it makes my skin look healthy and supple. For those looking for a mattifying effect or using this as a makeup setter (with the questionable spray mechanism), this product would not be it.

Overall, Fresh Skinlab Aloe Vera Face Mist
is a straightforward basic face mist that does a good job of providing
instant moisture and hydration. It is easily absorbed and does not feel
greasy or sticky.
This refreshing facial spray cools and soothes irritated skin, especially on hot, humid days. This mist works for almost all
skin types and can also be used on the hair to get
rid of frizz.
Pros:
- Hydrates and moisturizes skin
- Refreshing and soothing
- Can be used as a prep and setting spray
- Makes skin look fresh and dewy
- Didn't cause any breakouts
- Lightweight and easily-absorbed
- Affordable
Cons:
- Sprays big droplets
